Default Help with these. Two distinctive meanie types found.

ADMIN EDIT: BOTTOM ROW ARE SAFE TO CONSUME. DO NOT CONSUME TOP ROWS (PEAKED)

Got two sorts here. the darker blue wizard hats comes from a higher ground, found mostly in rotting wood.

The lighter alien head type ones are from lower ground. in bark and pretty much just in the ground.

Not too sure if I should eat them both. Are they both blue meanies?

The ones on the bottom row of the picture are what you want. Ditch the rest. Double check for brown gills and dark-blue staining on the flesh where you cut them open just to be certain you don't eat a virescens.

Bottom ones are good. And maybe one of the ones in top row. Rest are virescans

Weraroa novae-zelandiae is more closely related to Psilocybe subaeruginosa and Psilocybe cyanescens than the rest in the Weraroa family. So much so that if it hasn't been reclassified already into the Psilocybe family, it was be very soon.

    Cheers everyone!

Damn I was really excited when the peaked ones were found. Picture perfect pieces of wood with like 4 of them sprouting out.

Just checked the top row and yeah there is an active one there.

Can't wait to make the tek!

also, are the peaked ones poisonous? or just inactive..

Do any inactive mushrooms happen to have a similar spore print to actives? Eg, blue/purple. Or is it safe to eat when they have a blue/purple spore print.

Don't bother going around eating all sorts of mushrooms trying to find out if they will make you trip out or not. You'll be alot better off studying the proven actives and go hunt for them.
