Bought a cheap pipe online, customs have confiscated it. What will happen to me?
Hey everyone, new here.
So I've bought a very cheap pipe online from China, and customs just sent me a letter saying "The goods have been seized. There will be relevant correspondence sent to you shortly". After seeing this I looked up all the laws in NZ for possession of utensils and there's a chance I could go to prison for a year and/or get a $500 fine? What are the chances of either these two things happening to me in the 'relevant correspondence'? Has anyone else been through this? Thanks in advance ☺

Take everything I say with a grain of salt: You will probably be given a warning and that's it, the odds of being prosecuted over a single piece of paraphernalia seem extremely low.
